Utah State Route 171 (or 3300 South and 3500 South) is a four lane (five counting center lane) city street running from SR-111 (8400 West) to the east Interstate 215 belt route. It is 3300 South from the east end to somewhere between 1000 West and Redwood Road. Then it dips down two blocks and is 3500 South until the west end at SR-111. It serves the mid-valley portion of the Salt Lake Valley, and traffic can be congested from Interstate 15 to 5600 West during rush hour. Main UTA routes along 3300 South include 31 (3300 South) and 131 (3300 South Night Route), and on 3500 South routes 37 (Magna) and 137 (Magna Night Route). There is also the Millcreek UTA TRAX station (on the Sandy-Downtown line) on West Temple St. and 3300 South. Main freeway intersections along the route include Interstate 215 (at the east end of the route) and Interstate 15 (in the middle of the route, between 300 West and 500 West).
