USS Theodore Roosevelt

Two vessels of the United States Navy have been named USS Theodore Roosevelt, in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President and an important supporter of the Navy.

The first Theodore Roosevelt (SSBN-600) was a ballistic missile submarine in service from 1961 to 1982.

The second Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) is a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier commissioned in 1986 and on active service as of 2006.
