The USS Cook (FF-1083) was a Knox class frigate built for the United States Navy by Avondale Shipyard, Westwego, Louisiana. Her keel was laid March 20, 1970, she was launched January 23, 1971 and delivered December 09, 1971. Cook was commissioned December 18, 1971 and decommissioned April 30, 1992. She was struck January 11, 1995 and disposed of through the Security Assistance Program (SAP), transferred to Taiwan September 29, 1999.
