[edit] I took over this user box

Could someone explain what parameter 5 is for? Also, I made a couple of changes to make the ID look more like the logo. That logo uses a serif font. So I used Times New Roman. Finally, I added samples and explained what the parameters were for. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:09, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What "Sports Fans system"?

Could someone explain what "Sports Fans system" caused User:Kmweber to remove the User UBM UBX to template from this template page? We are supposed to move most user boxes to the user namespace. (See WP:UM.) If needed, let's do it for the new version. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:43, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

First, I should point out that UM does not apply here, as a userbox indicating one's support for a particular sports team is neither "divisive" nor "controversial"--and, as the Userbox Location Straw Poll indicates, there is an emerging consensus that userboxes for fans of particular sports or teams are explicitly appropriate for the Template namespace.
Now, the "Sports Fans system" is referring to the series of collection boxes (similar to the Babel collection boxes) at [[Template:Sports-[1-4]]] I created in late November 2005 to go with the sports fans userboxes I created (I am the originator of the Sports Fan userboxes, creating ones for the St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Tony Stewart). Having the userbox templates spread out among several users' userspaces would render those collection boxes useless. Kurt Weber 18:19, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
