- City/Town
- Subpage of Wikipedia:Wikipedians this category replaces
- Parent's country-category link (e.g., "Wikipedians in <parent country>")
- Name of the parent country
- Parent's state/region-category link
- Name of state/region
- Wikitext appended after the link to The State/Provence/Region, so you can add regional noticeboard links, etc.

To create a category for wikipedians in Boston, Massachusetts in the United States:
{{Template:Usercat-2|Boston|Massachusetts#Boston, Massachusetts|Wikipedians in the United States|United States|Wikipedians in Massachusetts|Massachusetts|, [[Massachusetts]]}}
Note that leading and trailing whitespace in the parameters is not trimmed and may effe ct the output. Also note that in the below example output, the "To add yourself to this list..." segment is incorrect because it uses the {{PAGENAME}} variable. Therefore, when you place this on the category page, it will work correctly.
