USCGC Midgett (WHEC-726) is a U. S. Coast Guard high endurance cutter based out of Seattle, Washington. Laid down 5 April 1971 at Avondale Shipyards near New Orleans, Louisiana. Launched 4 September 1971 and named for Chief Warrant Officer John Allen Midgett, a recipient of the Gold Lifesaving Medal who served for nearly 40 years in the United States Life-Saving Service and the Coast Guard. Midgett was commissioned 17 March 1972. She received the extensive Fleet Renovation and Maintenance (FRAM) upgrades from January 1991 to February 1993.
