This image is depicting the rank insignia of the General of the Air Force, not an award or a decoration as they are defined by the United States Air Force or Wikipedia itself. Therefore, a template stating such and placing into a category which defines it, is incorrect and not appropriate. — THOR 16:28, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

It's required for all images to have image tags to automatically note the copyright status of the image in question. The important point is that the image is in the public domain since it was created as a part of the U.S. government.
