Ursa is a village in Adams County, Illinois, United States. The population was 595 at the 2000 census.

Ursa is located at 40°4′29″N, 91°22′15″W (40.074653, -91.370776)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.8 km² (0.7 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 595 people, 252 households, and 167 families residing in the village. The population density was 337.8/km² (872.9/mi²). There were 261 housing units at an average density of 148.2/km² (382.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.99% White, 0.34% Native American, 0.50% Asian, and 0.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.68% of the population.

There were 252 households out of which 31.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.7% were non-families. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.98.

In the village the population was spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 80.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $35,804, and the median income for a family was $42,083. Males had a median income of $31,667 versus $22,778 for females. The per capita income for the village was $16,600. About 8.3% of families and 10.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.3% of those under age 18 and 6.8% of those age 65 or over.
