Urgit

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Urgit is a fictional character in The Malloreon by David Eddings, and is mentioned at the end of The Belgariad. He inherits the throne of the Murgos after his presumptive father Taur Urgas dies. Urgit turns out to be the half-brother of Prince Kheldar, or Silk, via their common father, and he, Belgarion and the rest help give Urgit the confidence he lacked to lead his country effectively. Initially he sees 'Zakath as a feared enemy, but through Belgarion's influence they eventually come to terms.

This fictional character is not to be confused with "Urgrit" (pronounced oohr-gret) who is a fictional character found in "The Kindred Chronicles". Urgrit was a powerful Orc shaman who sides with the humans after the arrival of the Gwilan Knight, Dreccon Veramil in the land of Azeroth.
