Urchin (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Urchin was the first band of Adrian Smith, which he formed with his friend Dave Murray around 1977. Dave then left to join Iron Maiden. Urchin had recorded one 7" album Black Leather Fantasy and managed to sign a contract but did not last long after Adrian's departure to replace Iron Maiden's guitarist Dennis Stratton.
In 1986 Adrian organised a reunion of his mates and performed the live recording Whole Population of Hackney along with Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain.
