Urban Carmichael

Urban Carmichael, (died February 13, 2006), was a well-known entertainer from Prince Edward Island, Canada. With his signature hat and red-check jacket, he was a font of down-home humor and an expert storyteller. A memorable performer at comedy and folk festivals in Eastern Canada, he also appeared for free at small charitable events.

He died, at 54, after a battle with cancer of the esophagus. His last stage performance was recorded on January 28, 2006 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for the CBC Radio comedy show, Madly Off In All Directions.
