Upninkai - is a largest village in Jonava district, Lithuania, situated 9 km southwest of Vepriai, with population of 1019 (as of 2001). The capital of Upninkai elderate.

A Neoclassical Roman Catholic church of Archangel Michael was cunstructed in 1845 north of the town, on left bank of Šventoji River flowing nearby the town.

Upninkai were first time mentioned in 1442.
