Talk:Upnor Castle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is requested that a photograph or photographs of the castle from the river or opposite bank be included in this article to improve its quality.

I have added one from the barracks hill slip at low tide. The shot from the opposite bank is technically difficult- it is too far for a standard zoom, and as the otherbank is low lying, you can't get sufficient height and the main platform is is obscured by the palisade. All my resulting images are boring and disappointing. To get the shot that we need, you need to 40 m offshore about 10 m up a mast. EH does not have the perfect shot in the handbook and Hogarth did his sketch from the same spot I used. ClemRutter 11:00, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
