Upham, New Mexico

Upham, New Mexico is the planned site for the Southwest Regional Spaceport, now called Spaceport America. It is located approximately 30 miles east of Truth or Consequences, and 45 miles north of Las Cruces in the southern part of the state.
Population: Zero (as of April 2006). Upham is a remote desert area with a railroad track running north-south.
County name: Sierra County (population: 12,988 - 2002 est.)
Elevation: 4557 feet (1388 meters)
