Yellowcard's Ryan Mendez has informed the community on their website [1] that their next album (the follow-up to Lights and Sounds) should be completed in mid-February for an April release "so they can begin touring". [2] In an earlier interview, when asked about album details, frontman Ryan Key claimed that sound of the album is, for now, unknown, but they always want to "go in a new direction" [3].
They continue to stand firm in getting away from the "pop punk" label in making this new album, which is believed to be on track so soon because of the promotional difficulties and lackluster sales of Lights and Sounds.
