The so-called Untitled Halo Project is a project that was announced at Microsoft's Xbox show, X06. Peter Jackson, with his recently-formed Wingnut Interactive, will create a game set in the Halo universe, in partnership with Bungie Studios. The game is toted to be a 'new chapter' in the Halo story and is slated to feature a new way of playing games. [1] This game will be based upon a completely new storyline as Bungie has said that Halo 3 will be the end of the story arc spanning both Halo and Halo 2.
In an unofficial Xbox 360 magazine, Peter Jackson stated that the game will be more of an 'interactive movie'. There will be parts that will be semi-playable, or a decision that will lead to different outcomes. It will be half the cost of a normal game. Although he admits this sounds unimpressive, he says that it will be amazing.
