Album

The Used's 3rd studio album is currently untitled and expected to be released in early 2007. They have about 30 songs written with names like "Earthquakes","Slit Your Own Throat", and "Rachel". The first single from the album will be "Handsome Awkward" [1] . In an interview that appeared in the January 2007 issue of AP magazine, Quinn stated "It's a much harder record album than the last one, but it's sort of a party album. It definitely sounds like us, but it's not like anything we've ever done." In the same article, it elaborates on the release date as "February or March."

[edit] Handsome Awkward

In a recent interview Quinn Allman was qouted saying that the song, "sounds like Aerosmith got into a fight with somebody," "It sounds like Steven Tyler's gonna have a seizure. It's definitely blues-y and based off a really good guitar riff. Definitely a heavier, riffier Zeppelin kind of style."

[edit] Kitty Pool Of Hell

Recently The Used put a video on their youtube and myspace profiles with Jeph playing drums with knives and Quinn playing the guitar with his teeth. Also there was a lot of screaming saying "Kitty Pool of Hell" over and over. This may suggest that The Used will be heavier on this album, or they're making fun of the music industry getting too "RAWR" and they want to bring it back to it's roots? Either way, the song is most likely just a joke not meant for analyzing
