Untitled is a platform exploration game created by YoMamasMama (Matt Thorson) of Helix Games Inc. with Game Maker. It was originally planned to give the game a true name, but Matt decided to keep the "title" unless he could come up with anything more fitting. The game is in the demo stage and has a predicted release date of December 2006.

Unlike many of YoMamasMama's previous games, Untitled is entirely created by him alone; the only resource in the entire game thus far that is not his creation is a voice clip. This is evident in-game due to the fact that, as YMM admits, he is not skilled in all of the areas he needs to work in.

[edit] Gameplay

Untitled plays like a Metroid game; in fact, it replaced the third Stickman Escape, a Metroid-like series by YoMamasMama. The character collects blue orbs, which give him various abilities such as a higher jump, and hearts, which increase the default maximum health of 100 by 10. There are four difficulties - Simple, Regular, Difficult, and Masterful - which increase the damage the character takes from enemies and dangers. Also, in Simple mode, some puzzles are made easier.

[edit] Graphics

Untitled utilizes a unique graphics style very similar to that used in Coolmoose's Runman series of games. Sprites have thick black outlines and backgrounds are drawn with a thick brush. Each room in the game has its own background and foreground; the solid floors the character walks on have no sprites and are only visible through these backgrounds and foregrounds.

[edit] Plot

Untitled begins with the main character, an unnamed white egg, waking up in a nest in NightWalk. After exploring a Grotto, DeepTower (a giant tree), and ColdKeep (a snowy area), the egg comes upon SkyTown, a town of birds. Unfortunately, he is unable to talk to them. After defeating the ghostlike boss in NightClimb and obtaining a ducking ability, the egg returns to NightWalk and, after "bowing" to a bird statue, finds a temple where he hatches into a white bird. Now able to understand the birds and bypass toll booths, he is able to reach more areas, but cannot proceed any further after defeating the sixth boss, thus ending the demo.
