U-70 was a Type VIIC German World War II U-Boat commissioned on 23 November 1940 and served with 7. Unterseebootflottille (7th U-Boat Flotilla) from 23 November 1940 to 7 March 1941. U-70 completed 1 patrol and sank 1 ship (820 Gross Registered Tonnage or GRT) and damaged 3 ships (20,484 GRT). U-70 was sunk on 7 March 1941 southeast of Iceland by British Corvettes HMS Camellia and HMS Arbutus.
