"Unsent" is a song by Alanis Morissette which was featured on her 1998 album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. It was released as the album's third single on July 13, 1999 and had moderate chart success.
Without a chorus, or hook, "Unsent" was an unconventional song. The verses consisted of five letters addressed to Morissette's former boyfriends: "Matthew," "Jonathan," "Terrance," "Marcus," and "Lou." It was also one of the few Junkie tracks to feature her harmonica-playing. The demo version of "Unsent" contained alternate boyfriend names: "Matthew," "Eric," "Terry," "Marc," "Terrance," "Christian," and "Taylor."
