Unlawful killing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Unlawful killing is a verdict which can be returned by an inquest in the United Kingdom. The essence of this verdict is that the person's death was deliberately caused by another person. One recent example of this verdict being returned is the inquest into the death of Tom Hurndall, who was shot by an Israeli sniper in the Gaza Strip in 2003 [1]. Another example is the inquest into the death of Terry Lloyd, who was fired on by US tanks near Basra on 22 March 2003 [2].
