[edit] Photograph of Baha'u'llah
Greetings Unknown Master. While many of us Baha'is would vastly prefer if this picture were not on that page, or at least in a different article, the Universal House of Justice has said that public, non-Baha'i websites are clearly not within the scope of Baha'i law and that we should not attempt to force them in any way to remove the picture. On Wikipedia, a long and repeated discussion has resulted in a consensus, which is to treat the picture as something that Baha'is would be startled to come across, and that would potentially reduce the deepth of their experience of pilgrimage, etc., and so it will be kept on the page, but moved to a location on the page where a Baha'i reading it will be warned that it is there. Then he can decide for himself, whether to view the picture, and it is not forced upon him. Please do not attempt to change this without first proposing a change to this hard-won consensus on the talk pages. It reflects badly on Baha'is if people remove it, as people assume, however unfairly, that the Baha'is are merely arbitrarily censoring Wikipedia. Cheers --Christian Edward Gruber 12:54, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
