Part of the wider Strathclyde Business School, USGSB pioneered the one year full-time MBA (Master of Business Administration) in the UK 1966. The school went on to offer the first part time MBA and distance learning MBA in the UK in 1976 and 1983 respectively. The school was also the first UK provider of the DBA (Doctor of Business Administration).

Strathclyde is one of just 22 business schools in the world to hold international accreditation from the three industry hallmarks of excellence - AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.

As well as being the only school in Scotland to be triple accredited, USGSB is the only school in Scotland - and one of just 50 in the world - to be approved by the UK Government's Highly Skilled Migrant Programme.

USGSB has 10 established international centres, in Europe, the Gulf and South East Asia, where the MBA is available, with the first centre opening in 1988.

As well as the prestigious MBA, USGSB also offers the MSc in Business and Management (MBM), a one year postgraduate programme. The MBM has become one of the first programmes in the world to be recommended for PEMM (Pre Experience Masters Degrees in General Management)accreditation as launched by AMBA in March 2005.

USGSB also offers the MSc in Business and Information Technology Systems (BITS) programme and a range of executive development programmes.
