The University of Economics, Prague, (Czech: Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze, abbreviated VŠE) is a university located in Prague, Czech Republic.

In 1919 Vysoká škola obchodní (The Commercial College) was established as a department of Czech Technical University in Prague specializing in wholesale trade, banking and the organization of industrial companies. Then in 1949 the Vysoká škola politických a hospodářských věd (University of Political and Economic Sciences) was established but was renamed to Vysoká škola ekonomická in 1953.
