University Medal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A University Medal is an award given by Australian Universities to a handful of the top final-year Honours undergraduates each year. A University graduating 1000 or more students each year may award Medals to 10 of these students. The usual criterion is very high marks across all the subjects undertaken in the 4-year Honours degree. Very rarely, a student will be awarded two medals, if they have undertaken an Honours year in two different subjects and achieved very high marks in both subjects.
