Université du Québec

The Université du Québec is a system of ten provincially-run public universities in Quebec, Canada. Its headquarters are in Quebec City.

The university has over 76,000 students, making it the largest university in the province, and offers more than 300 programs. It was created in 1968 by an act of Quebec's National Assembly.

The component institutions are:

Télé-Université (Téluq) was originally an independent component of the network, based in Quebec City, with offices in Montreal, but was made an affiliate of UQAM in 2005.
