Universidad APEC (UNAPEC) is a university in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was founded in 1965 as the Instituto de Estudios Superiores (Institute of Superior Studies). The first schools were Management, Spanish and Bilingual Executive Secretariate, and Accounting.
In 1968, the Dominican government gave Universidad APEC the right to grant superior academic titles and the school was classified as a university. The school changed its name to the current one on August 11, 1983 and the Dominican government approved the change in 1985.
