United States Mint Police

The United States Mint Police is the law enforcement agency responsible for the protection of the United States Treasury and the United States Mint. The Mint Police is responsible for protecting over $100 billion in Treasury and other Government assets stored in facilities located throughout the United States. Daily, the Mint Police guards over 2,800 U.S. Mint employees, thousands of visitors and approximately $100 billion in gold, silver and coins.
Having been founded in 1792, the U.S. Mint Police is one of the oldest federal law enforcement agencies in the United States. All officers of the force must be U.S. citizens. The current chief of the U.S. Mint Police is Bill Daddio.
