United States House elections, 1944

The U.S. House election, 1944 was an election for the United States House of Representatives in 1944 which coincided with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's re-election to a fourth term. Roosevelt's popularity allowed his Democratic Party to gain a total of twenty seats from the Republican and minor parties, cementing the Democratic majority.
