United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan

United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) was set up in 1949 to supervise the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. UNMOGIP monitors the ceasefire called for by the UN Security Council after the end of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
