The United Kingdom held a national preselection to choose the song that would go to the Eurovision Song Contest 1969. It was held on February 22, 1969 and presented by Michael Aspel. It is worth noting that "Can't Go On (Living Without You)" was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
