The United Democratic Forces of Belarus is a coalition of political parties participating as the main opposition group during the 2006 presidential election. The group chose Aleksandr Milinkevich as their candidate to see if he could defeat the incumbent Alexander Lukashenko, the authoritarian president since 1994. He won 6.0% of the vote by the official data.
