United Communist Party of Turkey (in Turkish: Türkiye Birleşik Komünist Partisi) was a political party in Turkey. TBKP was formed in October 1988 through the unification of the two banned parties Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and Workers Party of Turkey (TIP). TBKP was formally founded on June 4, 1990, as Nihat Sargın (general secretary of TIP) and Yaşar Nabi Yağcı (Haydar Kutlu) (general secretary of TKP) were released from prison. Sargın and Yağcı had been arrested in November 1987, as they had returned from exile in West Germany to organize TBKP inside Turkey.

Chairman of TBKP was Nihat Sargın and Nabi Yağcı was the general secretary.

TBKP wanted to register as a legal political party, but registration was denied and the party was banned. On July 16, 1991 the Constitutional Court banned the party, and Sargin and Yagci were banned from holding office in any other party. The case was taken up by the European Court of Human Rights.

After the dissolution of TBKP the cadre of the party regrouped into the Socialist Unity Party (SBP). Socialist Unity Party turned into United Socialist Party with the participation of several leftist groups. And finally this party turned into with the participation of former Revolutionary Path (Devrimci Yol) to Freedom and Solidarity Party.
