A unisex bathroom is a restroom that is available for use by either the male or female gender.
Transsexual groups have taken up the cause of gender-neutral bathrooms recently, gaining widespread press coverage and support.
A unisex bathroom was famously featured on the 1997-2002 American TV series Ally McBeal.
