Unidentified Sound Objects is a musical and visual project of Sami Pennanen (born 18 February 1972), who is also known as Sampen, of Helsinki, Finland. U.S.O. started in mid-1990s, the first release being a split 7" together with Kemialliset Ystävät on Bad Vugum label. U.S.O.'s music is an eclectic combination of hip-hop sounds, sampladelia, intelligent dance music, lounge music and so on. Sampen is also a trained visual artist, who has had exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
