The University Science Fiction Association (UniSFA) is a Guild affiliated club at The University of Western Australia. It was founded on the 21st March, 1978. The club's primary objective is To encourage and facilitate science fiction and fantasy in all its forms at The University of Western Australia.[1]
UniSFA has a library of several thousand books, and is actively working to electronically catalogue them using the Koha open source library system (see UniSFA Library).
The club room is open from the early morning through late evening most days, including weekends. A large television, stereo system, and wireless network are available in addition to the library. The club room is an extremely social place, with much discussion of science fiction and fantasy going on.

[edit] Terracon
Each year UniSFA runs a camp in the south-west of Western Australia. Recent camps have been located in Myalup. Events include LARPs, Roleplaying, Board games and Bushwalking. A particular eye-turner is the Iron Stomach competition, a speed-eating contest featuring exciting foodstuffs.
[edit] Other events
UniSFA has at least one quiz night a year. The quiz night has a science-fiction focus, and is often attended by members of other West Australian science fiction groups.
