Unión Española is a Chilean soccer club based in Santiago. It has won the national leagues and the "Chile cup" ("Copa Chile" in Spanish) twice.

Union Española was founded on May 18th 1897, by a group of Spanish immigrants in Chile. A memorable year in Union Española's history was 1975, when it lost the Copa Libertadores final against Independiente de Avellaneda.

The club's stadium is Santa Laura, the oldest stadium in Chile. It was founded in 1922.

Caleb Norkus joined Unión Española in January 2005 and became the only American playing Division 1 football in all of South America at the time. After winning the Apertura in August, Norkus left the team to join the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division.
