Clube Desportivo União Micaelense is a Portuguese football (soccer) club from Ponta Delgada, Azores, that plays in the Portuguese Second Division at the Serie D. Won promotion from the fourth level after season 2001-2002 [1] to the third level, finished 12th in II Divição Group South during season 2002-2003, 3rd 2003-2004 and 11th 2004-2005. The series system was altered for season 2005-2006, when the club finished 10th in Serie D, avoiding relagation extremely slightly (see 2005-06 in Portuguese football).

The most famous name attached to the club is Pauleta, present star of his French club Paris Saint-Germain. However, he left the islands already at the age of 16, and only learned his basic skills at U. Micaelense.

The club's derby rival is C. Operário D. from the neighboring town of Lagoa de São Miguel. Also the team from FC Madalena, the capital Pico Island, is considered a part of local rivalry.

The activities of this minor club also include rink hockey and possibly basketball and volleyball. The only existing website [2] of the club only includes information on rink hockey, but in the history section some data around football can be found, but only in Portuguese.
