If someone's still living on campus, a shot of the library, old library, and UC would make a more representative photo than the photo of the gazebo. Ditto a shot from the road showing the OC, the flags, and the other nearby buildings. MrZaius^talk 18:02, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nicknames

They need to put something in about the nickname of USI which is "Westside High."

It got this nickname because of all the westside of evansville commuters that go there from the local highschools and it makes it feel more like highschool than a college. At least if your from Evansville. —This unsigned comment was added by 63.167.255.231 (talk • contribs)

Got anything to back it up? Because I sure can't find anything that would work as a proper citation (actually, I can't find anything at all). It's also good to avoid nicknames unless it's really, really notable (a LOT of people call it that, not just a select few). A lot of people have heard it called West Side High before, but very, very few people actually call it that. Which kind of goes against the idea of a nickname. A nickname is what people call it, not what people consider it or what they think of it.

And, last time I checked, the reason it's called that is not because of commuters from local high schools. The reason it's called that is because people typically have this lower standard for the school, they don't consider it a real university because of how cheap it is and the quality of education students get from it. Also, classes feel more like high school classes and everybody calls their professors teachers, instead of professors. It's got the aura of a high school, not a college, thus the name. --pIrish 20:35, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
