[edit] Cleanup?

Why was the Cleanup message added just then? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hurst553 (talkcontribs).

The article is full of incorrect grammar, diction, and has a general unencyclopedic tone. It's also missing the necessary citations. I plan on working on it, but the tag lets other Wikipedians know that the article needs to be cleaned up. It also lets the reader know that the article is a mess hoopydinkConas tá tú? 23:41, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
I see, I only added the bit about the Eagles qualifying for 07 but plan to add some more though. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hurst553 (talkcontribs).
Excellent! You might want to check out WP:RU, by the way. It's a Wikiproject where dozens of rugby fans collaborate on rugby related articles. Cheers hoopydinkConas tá tú? 23:45, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Wow thats great thanks alot. and I see what you mean now with the article; the first history section actually has nothing to do with the national team at all, and the post-war era is too short and all out of order. as you said it needs work :) User:Hurst553
All the histories of all the national teams begin with a short explanation of the introduction of rugby. The first international game did not take place in a vacuum and nor do international games generally. The advent of Super 12 had a huge impact on Aus / NZ / SA rugby and their articles refer to it accordingly. Any event which had a major impact of US rugby should be noted and this would include the development of the separate sport of Gridiron.
The history section is the best that can be written usingly only the internet as a source. It needs expanding but you would probably need a written source in order to do so.GordyB 14:13, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
