Image:Uniform honeycomb truncations.png

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I made this LARGE image to better map the fundamental triangle generator points from Image:Polychoron_truncation_chart.png into a 3d cell.

According to Norman Johnson the fundamental cutting operations are:

  1. Truncation - cuts vertices (truncating) (polygons and higher)
  2. Cantellation - cuts edges (beveling) (polyhedra and higher)
  3. Runcination - cuts faces (planing) (polychoron and higher)
  4. Stericating - cuts cells (soliding)(5-polytopes and higher)
