Unforgettable (Voyager episode)

An alien women requests asylum aboard Voyager. When she comes aboard, the doctor attempts to scan her but his tricorder does not retain any data about her. She is from a race whose chemistry is such that any other race fails to remember them after a few hours, which is also why the tricorder loses data about her immediately after scanning it. She claims that she came aboard Voyager a month ago to track down a fugitive from her race, and that during that time she and Chakotay fell in love. As the episode progresses, evidence seems to support her claim that she was on Voyager. During that time, Chakotay seems to be warming up to her.

Just as her and Chakotay start to pick up where they left off, another member of her race appears and fires a weapon at her which starts to make her forget about her time on Voyager. This time, Chakotay is the one trying to convince her that they fell in love, but she only starts thinking about how she broke the rules of her race and must return home. The two aliens eventually depart Voyager, telling Chakotay that it's better if he just forgot about her. As they've loaded a virus into the computer which will erase all record of the aliens' existance and encounter with Voyager, Chakotay wants to remember everything about this experience, so he's left writing with an old-fashioned pen and paper...
