Understanding Principles for Better Living Church

Understanding Principles for Better Living Church is a New Thought teaching ministry founded by actress Della Reese and Dr. Johnnie Colemon. Like much of New Thought it emphasizes the idea of a power in thinking, meditation, and practicality. It is often abbreviated as the "UP Church", possibly a play on the groups emphasis on positive thinking. The group has drawn criticism from various Christian groups and writers, since Della Reese is among the more famous New Thought believers.
