[edit] Overview

Under the Influence saw a much more raw, thrashy effort, lacking much of the tightness, and epic atmosphere of its predecessor, Taking Over. Suffering from rushed writing and production, the album is often regarded by fans and critics as a snapshot and a step backwards for the band.
