[edit] Pixies: Debaser
Would it make sense to put all the stuff about Pixies' "Debaser" into a separate article dealing with the song? The article on the film doesn't seem like quite the right forum for the complete lyrics and an interpretation of them, and although the song clearly references the movie, it doesn't really contribute to an understanding of it - in fact, it's more likely the other way round; an understanding of the film helps to interpret the lyrics of the song.
Move the detailed treatment of "Debaser" into its own article.

I agree it's completely out of place. I have removed the following text from the article:
---
DEBASER
Got me a movie I want you to know Slicing up eyeballs I want you to know Girlie so groovy I want you to know Don't know about you But I am un chien Andalusia
I am un chien Andalusia
Wanna grow Up to be Be a debaser
Debaser
Got me a movie Ha ha ha hoa Slicing up eyeballs Ha ha ha hoa Girlie so groovie Ha ha ha hoa Don't know about you But I am un chien Andalusia
I am un chien Andalusia
Debaser
Frank Black
Frank Black is basically describing through this song how Un Chien Andalou had affected him after seeing it. He thought that the film was debasing the industry and wanted to do the same through music.

If anyone thinks there should be a seperate article for this song, feel free. I'm not so sure about the 'policy' for individual songs, however. Junes 12:10, 16 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Picture from film
Is there a reason why Image:Andalou.jpg is not marked to be in public domain? There's also Image:Chien andalou frame publicdomain.png on Commons with the same motive. Shouldn't we use that one instead? --romanm (talk) 01:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Isn't the caption under the image something of a spoiler? Not that the slicing is unexpected, but it is unexpected how graffic it is
[edit] calf's eye
I'm pretty sure the slashing scene was fake. If i recall, you can see tufts of hair around the eye, since they used a dead calf. If anyone believes this is not the case, correct me...
