Umaru Musa Yar'Adua

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Umaru Musa Yar'Adua has been governor of Katsina State in Nigeria since 29 May 1999. He is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Yar'Adua is currently a frontrunning candidate to become Nigeria's next President, pending the ruling PDP's presidential primaries, where he is expected to win.

If President Olusegun Obasanjo finally gives the nod to his candidacy, Yar`Adua may emerge the presidential candidate of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) at the first ballot for the 2007 elections.
