Umar ibn Sa'ad or Amir ibn Sad was the son of Sa'ad ibn Abi Waqqas. He led the troops that killed Husain ibn Ali in the Battle of Karbala.

Ibn Hajr Asqalani deems him a "trustworthy" in narrating hadith.
