Hello! I'm a bit concerned about your recent image posts to the BMW Z1 page. They don't have copyright releases and can be found at http://bmw.hlabs.spb.ru/bothz1.html with explicit copyrights.

Can you provide any further information on these? Thanks. --Milkmandan 05:51, 2004 Dec 28 (UTC)

You are right, Dan, the page claims copyright ownership, I have removed the pictures until I find more suitable ones. Thnks for pointing this out! --Ultimatecarpage
Thanks for taking care of this so quickly! --Milkmandan 17:37, 2004 Dec 28 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images

When you claim fair use on an image (such as the one you recently placed on Acura RL), please let us know where you got the image. If it's say an Acura PR image, say so. We need this information for fair use images. Thanks! —Morven 01:51, Jan 1, 2005 (UTC)

I've put the source information there, but I'm new at this so I would appreciate if you would take a look at acura.ca and see if these images really can be used in this way.

[edit] BMW Z1 text

The text at BMW Z1 is identical to that found at Ultimatecarpage. If you're the original author of this text, please put a note in the BMW Z1 discussion page mentioning this. I really want to improve this page, and I don't want to make any changes until we're sure that there isn't another existing copyright. I suspect that since your username is identical to the website name, that there's probably no need to worry too much; but, a note saying something like, "a copy of this text appears at http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php?file=car.php&carnum=52 although the copy here has been posted by the copyright owner" would save a lot of headaches. Thanks --Milkmandan 11:44, 2005 Jan 1 (UTC)

It might take a while for me to track down the actual author of this piece, and while I don't think he/she will object to it being posted at wikipedia, we did not discuss this kind of usage at the time of posting at ulitmatecarpage.com so just to be sure i'll revert back the changes so that you can edit the page with clear concious. Given your enthusiasm I'm sure you will come up with something to overshadow the few paragraph blurb (in which case I would appreciate a message so that I can stop looking through years of unsorted email :)
Thanks! I'll get on that page immediately --Milkmandan 21:49, 2005 Jan 2 (UTC)

[edit] Image:RL Nighthawk Black Pearl RL.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:RL Nighthawk Black Pearl RL.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok 17:24, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
