Ulrich Witt

Ulrich Witt is the Director of Evolutionary Economics Group and Professor for Economics, Department of Economics, University of Jena, Germany.

He is a prominent scholar in evolutionary economics, and published books such as 'The Evolving Economy -- Essays on the Evolutionary Approach to Economics', and also edited volumes such as 'Explaining Process and Change - Approaches to Evolutionary Economics'. Witt contests the Darwinian approach in the field, suggesting that evolutionary economic approach should be based on self-organization theory instead.
