Ulrich Mühe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ulrich Mühe (born June 20, 1953 in Grimma) is a German actor.
Ulrich Mühe was married to actress Jenny Gröllmann, with whom he had a child, actress Anna Maria Mühe. Throughout the entire six years of their marriage, Jenny Gröllmann had been an employee of the Ministry for State Security (Stasi), her file containing over 500 pages of information she had given the ministry on friends and colleagues. It also contained constant reminders to her commanding officer that her involvement be kept secret from her husband, a known enemy of the Stasi. Ulrich Mühe's own file specified that he was to be sent to a special isolation camp in case of a national crisis. Four members of his theatre group at the Deutsches Theater were spying on him as unofficial employees of the Stasi. He was able to find out the real names behind the Stasi code names in only two cases.
As of April 2006 he is married to famed stage actress Susanne Lothar and lives with her and two children in Berlin.
